What to expect on Sunday
- Come as you are. Jeans, boots, Sunday best — you'll fit right in.
- Kidz @ the Creek has a safe, loving place for your children and nursery for the littlest ones.
- Park anywhere, walk in, and somebody will find you and say hello. Sit wherever you like.
- Stay after. The best part of the Creek happens in the fellowship hall and the parking lot.

What we believe
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired Word of God and the basis for our beliefs. Bluff Creek subscribes to The Baptist Faith & Message (2000) of the Southern Baptist Convention.
- Jesus is Lord. We are a body of baptized believers who have received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, committed to sharing the good news of salvation with everyone.
- The ordinances are believer's baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper.
- The church is a family under Christ, governed by its members, cooperating with the Louisiana Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.
- Our purpose: to share Christ with as many people as possible in our church, community, and world; to worship; to grow together in the knowledge of God; and to minister unselfishly in Jesus' name.
Our covenant, in short
Having been led by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ, we covenant to walk together in Christian love; to sustain the church's worship, ordinances, doctrine, and discipline; to give cheerfully and regularly; to raise our children in the faith; to seek the salvation of our family and neighbors; to watch over one another in brotherly love; and to be slow to take offense and always ready for reconciliation.
Becoming a member
Anyone may offer themselves for membership at any regular service. There are four ways home to the Creek:
- By profession of faith and baptism — you've received Christ and want to follow Him in believer's baptism.
- By letter — you're coming from another Baptist church.
- By statement — you've been converted and baptized in a Baptist church but a letter isn't available.
- By baptism if you come from a non-Baptist background and haven't been baptized by immersion.
What membership means
- Members 16 and older vote in church conference; members 18 and older may serve in elected offices.
- Members commit to the church covenant, to growing in Christ, to serving, and to giving regularly — the tithe is our biblical starting point.
- We're a family. When you move away, we'll help you find a church home there.
Ministries @ the Creek
One church, one family — every ministry is the Creek.
Sunday worship at 10:15a and 6:00p — theologically rich hymns, prayer, a word for the kids, and expositional preaching.
Nursery through 5th grade — Sunday School, VBS, Kidz @ The Creek, and a safe, loving place every week.
6th–12th grade. Wednesday nights, camp, DNOW, and discipleship — 6 on the 63.
Church-wide missions through the year, our association and Louisiana Baptists, and care for neighbors in need.
Classes for every age — preschool, children, youth, young adults, families, and adults. Find one that fits.

Policies & safety
Your children's safety is not optional here. These are the standards we hold every leader to.
- Two adults, always. No child is ever alone with a single adult.
- Background checks for every adult who serves with children or students, and child-protection training before serving.
- Nursery & Kidz check-in — children are released only to the adult who checked them in.
- Youth safety — the same standards apply on trips, at camp, and on Wednesday nights.

- Constitution & Bylaws — available from the church office.
- Committee guidelines and the church operations manual — kept in the church office and available to any member.
- Business meetings are held on a designated Sunday night; special meetings are announced one week ahead.
